Driveway Washouts
When heavy rain takes your driveway
A hard rain on a gravel drive moves rock. It cuts ruts down the middle, pushes stone into the ditch, and leaves the crown flat, so the next storm does the same thing in the same place.
We fix the cause as well as the mess. We reclaim the rock you already paid for, place it where it belongs, and grade the drive so water leaves it instead of sitting on it.
Then we run a vibratory roller over the surface to compact the material. Compacted gravel sheds water and stands up to traffic, which is what keeps erosion from starting again.
- Reclaim and re-place existing rock, the stone you already have, put back where it belongs.
- Grade for drainage, a proper crown so water runs to the shoulder instead of down the middle.
- Vibratory compaction, so the surface locks up and resists the next hard rain.
- New rock where the base is short, brought in and spread in the same visit.
